2 years (Full Time)

EligibilityPass in Degree viz. MBBS, BDS, B. Pharm, BPT, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Allied Health Science, Bachelor Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law & Management (BBM, BBA, BHA) with 50% marks from UGC approved University. Usual relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates.

BSc Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT)

(Affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences)

This course is one of the first kind in the area. The Four Years Programme would enhances students knowledge and skill in several major categorical areas of medical laboratory technology. The degree in medical laboratory technology provides advanced skills to practicing laboratory professionals in helth administration, leadership,quality assurance and helth informactics. Graduates will be able to take up the jobs in hospital and diagnostic centers or can opt for M.Sc (MLT) courses. They will be capable of independently managing the diagnostic unit.

Duration

4 yrs

Eligibility

Pass in plus two or equivalent examination with 50% marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology put together.

Usual relaxation for SC/ST and SEBC students.

Age LimitMinimum 17 years
Selection Procedure  As per the norms of Kerala University of Health Sciences and Kerala Paramedical Council.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)

The objective of the course is teaching and training students in carrying out modern and advanced laboratory investigations accurately. Students are also taught the method of giving laboratory reports to Doctors, a vital input in the medical care of the patients. Practical training is given in to acquaint with hi-tech equipments of our two hospitals.

Duration

18 months followed by 6 months practical training.

Diploma in Radiological Technology (DRT)

The aim of this course is to teach and train students in radiological and imaging techniques, C.T scan etc, including the use of the most advanced imaging machines. The course is conducted under the department of Radiology and imaging of our hospitals.

Duration

Two years

Diploma in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology (DOTAT)

The aim of this course is to teach and train students in handling a variety of electric and electronic equipments used in modern operation theatres and to keep it in good working order and to assist the Anaesthesiologists. Mainly the course trains students to assist in the very advanced techniques of Anaesthesia.

Duration

Two years and 6 months compulsory internship

Diploma in Dialysis Technology (DDT)

The course is intended to overcome the shortage of qualified dialysis technicians. This is an age of dramatic increase for the demand of them. Since dialysis is a life saving procedure, the stress is given to train the students in various techniques of dialysis and to perform the process independently.

Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology (DCVT)

The aim of the course is to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac (Heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) ailments. Cardiovascular technologists and technicians schedule appointments, perform ultrasound or cardiovascular procedures, review doctors' interpretations and patient files, and monitor patients' heart rates.
